Being a kpop idol requires having a lot of stamina. During the promotional period, the schedule can be grueling and very demanding for all the parties involved. They often have to wake up early and go to sleep really late when so that they can fulfill all their obligations for their schedule. Sehun has one of the best physiques in the kpop industry and over the past couple of years, people have been noticing. A lot of pictures of Sehun shirtless have been popping up over the internet. Everyone cannot stop talking about Sehun’s abs. So what does it take to have Sehun’s body?
Hit the gym! No surprise there right? Even GOT7 Bambam admitted that he goes to the gym and work out a lot because he wants to have Sehun’s body. While at the airport and talking to a fan, Bambam expressed that he wants to go to the gym, and he added “So I can have a body like Sehun hyung.” How cute!
Sehun really enjoys doing cardio. He always tried to do 20 to 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill every time he gets on the gym. This is how he gets his body warmed up and ready for all the other workouts that that he has planned for the day.
Being an idol from one of the most popular male kpop idol groups, Sehun is always performing and dancing. EXO’s choreographies are known to be very difficult and strenuous. This is a natural form of workout. So, even when he is not in the gym, Sehun is getting a full body workout in with his dance practices.
Sehun used to be the smallest member of the group and he is the maknae. But after a while, he started realizing that his hyungs were getting a lot of attention when they take off their shirts during their performances. So he decided that he wanted to do the same. He went on a diet and worked really hard to show his abs during his solo stage for EXO Planet 4 – The ElyXion. This was the first time that Sehun was shirtless on stage. Since then, he has been far more confident.
When his schedule allows it and he gets in the gym, here is Sehun’s workout:
- Some of his favorite workouts for arms are bicep curls, isolation curls, and overhead press. He does sets of 3 to 4 and about 10 to 15 reps each.
- For his legs, he focuses on squats, lunges, deadlifts, and calf raises: Again, he does sets of 3 to 4 for about 10 to 15 reps each.
- Getting abs like Sehun is no small feat. It requires a lot of discipline and hard work. Sehun’s ab workout involves doing a lot of crunches, reverse crunches, bicycle crunches, leg raises, and planks. Each exercise also has to be done in sets of 3 to 4 for 10 to 15 reps.
Sehun does not have a strict diet when it comes to maintaining his body. He is naturally slim so he is able to eat whatever he wants. He is not as disciplined as Kai. Nonetheless, he still tries to include a lot of healthy foods in his diet.
So if you are like Sehun and you are naturally on the thin side, then you could also get away with eating whatever you want and exercise to build more muscles and definitions. However, if you gain weight easily, you need to monitor your diet in addition to working out diligently.
